LONDON

Good Morning Backpackers!!

It's Lea, welcome to our blog!

Today we are going to talk about the London, the city of our favourite spy: 007. Jaione and I decided to do a little trip to London since we had 4 days off and we did not have any exams afterwards, so we decided to travel to London since we hadn't been there in a while and the city is always a good place to visit.

Our trip started in Bilbao, where we took a Vueling flight from Bilbao to London Gatwick airport for 30€. From our point of view it is a really comfortable flight since Gatwick is connected with the centre of London by buses and trains.

We got to London at 19:00 here, so 18:00 in London, we took a bus and we were checking in at 19:00. Since the flight was that cheap we decided to stay in a little Hotel located in the city centre of London, it was really nice to stay in a hotel for once, its name is "Britannia International Hotel" usually it is expensive to stay there, but since we booked everything in the last moment we only paid 150 Euros for the 2 nights (for both of us).

We woke up at 9:00 the first day, because we wanted to be able to visit as much as we could. Since we have been in London before we did not really go to the landmarks that everyone usually visits, so we decided to go to Notting hill and do a little tour around there because there are really cool stores and coffe shops to drink something.

As you can see in the picture, we went shopping around the neighbourhood. To be honest, most of the people prefer Camden Town better than Notting hill, but we do not. I am not saying that Camden isn't amazing, because it is, but it has become more touristic than Notting Hill lately.

Anyways, then we went back to the city centre using the metro, or as British people say "using the underground". We decided to go eat to the best place in London: Borough Market. It is cheap, good and you have all kind of food you can imagine.

Afterwards, we went for a walk around the city, which is the best way to get to know a city.

At 19:00 we grabbed something to eat and then went to get get some beers: if you like beer, London is your city.

Then, we went back to the hotel and recovered energies for the next and last day in London.

It was our last day in London so we decided to do a Banksy tour. Yes, you are reading correctly, a Banksy tour. It is a tour where you visit all the graffitis made by the well-known artist Banksy. Since Jaione and I love the Street art we really had a blast doing it, we strongly recommend it to anyone who likes Banksy's art.

In conclusion, we went on a non-conventional tour to London and we loved every second of it.
