HAWAII
Welcome to another adventure! - Selamat datang ke adveture lagi!
We have already come back from Hawaii and I couldn't control myself to write about our adventure.
The travel has proved that I am very clumsy, expecially surfing compared to Lea who won a second place in a competition, but it was for beginners. Although she is good at surfing, she is very bad at snorkeling. However, I'm good, so we had to teach each other. Lea had to teach me how to surf, and I, how to breathe and use the flippers. Once, she almost drowned, but thanks to the world and to the lifeguards everything stayed as an anecdote.
In this trip, we had to do more stops than in others such as Lisbon, California and finally Hawaii.
The experience of taking all those flights was exhausting as well as thrilling. It lasted 42 hours more or less,but we spent all that time watching our favourites movies and shows and it did not feel like 42 hours.We were there six days including the flights ( We spent two days in the plane).
The first day in the morning our first stop was Pearl Harbor. It was amazing to discover the history of that place and we felt that everything happend no so long ago. In the afternoon we went to Aloha stadium to watch the match between Hawaii Rainbow Warriors and Detroit Lions. I was in favor of Hawaii Rainbow Warriors but Lea was in favor of Detroit Lions. After a hard competition, Hawaii Rainbow Warriors won but we didn't understand anything (because we don't know the rules).
The second day we went to Diamond head, it is a volcanic tuff cone on the Hawaiian island Oahu. It looked like it was going to explode. Luckily it didn't happen. In the afternoon, we went to the beach and there we had our first surf class. We made 2 native Friends and we were taught by them. At night, we met with them and they took us to their favourite restaurant, Teshima's Restaurant. There, we discovered a tasty dish called lomi-lomi (a salad with salmon, lemon juice, onion, tomato...)

In third day we went with our friends to Manoa falls, they showed us some hiding places that if you are not from there you can't discover. Once there, we took a bath, but the water was frozen. The rest of the day we discovered Hawaii with our new Friends.
The fourth day, our final day, we met with our Friends again. They had a little boat so they asked if we wanted to go with them. We entered in the sea and we did snorkel. We saw a lot of different corals as well as interesting fishes. We spent all the day exchanging adventures. Besides, they prepared a typical dish from Hawaii called Poke. You can't imagine how good it was, amazing. The next day we said goodbye to our Friends and we returned to Pamplona.
We still keep in touch with them, so we will come back one day, and we will let you know

After reading this post, I think I will go on holidays to Hawaii. It seems really relaxing and it's just what I need. Thanks! <3
ReplyDeleteI have always dream visiting Hawai and thanks to you girls I know that the moment has arrived. I'm a fanatic of snorkel and the beaches on Hawai might be beautiful.( Maialen U)
